Camp High Rocks,
a private boys camp in Western North Carolina, has instructor
openings for its summer riflery program. Instructors must
be experienced in target air rifle and/or archery instruction.
Our program emphasizes individual skills development and de-emphasizes
competitive aspects of sports. We have a six position covered
outdoor riflery range that allows for practice whether rain
or shine. Our archery range focus' mostly on the beginner level
of the sport, but development improves greatly with exceptional
instructors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instruct riflery and/or archery for all levels of campers 8
to 16 years of age. Male counselors also serve as cabin
counselors for groups of 6 boys. NRA instructor level is preferred
for riflery instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 19 years of age or rising college sophomore, riflery
or archery experience. Teaching experience or other work
with children is preferred.
BENEFITS:
From $250 to $400 per week for the nine week season, depending
on experience and qualifications. Room, board and laundry
are included.
