It sure was fun to see all of the jerseys coem out again today. It always brings out a little smack talk about teams and who we like. I like this tough one above. They tried to look tough :).
The high pressure continued today with fantastic weather. The salers enjoyed another breezy day on the lake. There was wonderful sun and breeze all day long.
I sure did enjoy catching up with the boy that got back from Linville Gorge this morning. They had three wonderful days fo climbing and sites. There are a few pictures in the today. Speaking of three days, our three-day hike in Pisgah will get back late morning tomorrow. The staff forwarded a couple pictures in from the InReach satelite device this afternoon.
The boys were just out having more fun today. There were two groups out in Dupont mountain biking. A paddling group headed to the Tuckaseegee River, and climbers took off for Pisgah Forest today. There is no stopping us!
If you know anything about horses, you know it’s a lot of everything. We keep around 20 horses during the summer, which is like another twenty heavy campers that need a lot of attention. The girls work hard down there. The morning starts at 7:00am with all the horses coming in from pasture, getting stalled up, fed, meds, vet stuff, etc. The girls then go up to eat, and come down jsut as the guys are coming in to eat. It’s time to tack up horses and get them ready for the first lesson. The boys come down hourly for rides and lessons all day long. If the ladies are not teaching, they have a barn hour for all sorts of clean up. At 5pm turnout begins. Al the tack comes off, all the horses go out fo the night and the barn clean-up begins. Did I mention the boys LOVE IT!
Mud Pit!
Age groups one and two (our mini men) hit the mud pit tonight. Its an evening of fun an games all surrounded around a pit of mud! It was a hoot of a time! The boys loved. Some were a little nervous, but then it was a welcoming excitement.
Our oldest boys (Age group 6) headed out for their “Chill Night.” Age group 3 had games on the soccer field, while age group 4 was on the tennis courts.
Our mini boys are on their final day tomorrow. They will still have a full day of activities and then a cabin night, followed by campfire, and then we will do our fireworks show we missed on Monday. It’s going to be an action-packed day for them tomorrow. We look forward to seeing all our mini I parents on Saturday morning.
It’s going to be another eventful day again tomorrow. Have a great night.
