We offer a quality riding program under the supervision of skilled instructors, on well-schooled horses, with proper, well-maintained equipment. Our facilities include barns housing twenty horses, three instruction rings, lush fields, and extensive trails on High Rocks’ 1,100 acres of woodlands.
Our Horseback riding camp activity blends instruction in technique and horsemanship together through one-on-one teaching and through fun activities such as trail-riding and pony-painting.
We own the vast majority of our horses and only lease the best. Our horses have years of experience, and are friendly, gentle horses that love their job at camp! Each horse has their own personality that campers get excited to know!
Each camper may ride daily if he elects to take riding as an activity. Lessons are structured for safety, fun, and skill development. In addition to classes in-ring and field, campers look forward to relaxing trail rides through the woods, lunch rides, horse painting, horsemanship, and many other games on horseback.
Does riding cost extra? No, riding is included in tuition. We have all the gear you need including helmets. Just bring jeans and sturdy tennis shoes. If you have riding gear, you are welcome to bring it to use.
We love High Rocks! It’s just the right size, the property is lovely. The directors and staff are kind, thoughtful, and want the boys to have a great camp experience.
Camp High Rocks has over 1,000 acres of property which includes 10 miles of Horseback Riding Trails. As campers progress, trail rides are a great way to reward success and skill advancement. Campers leap at the opportunity to take their favorite horse on trail.
